Mimosa C5c
Mimosa C5c is specifically made to manage point-to-point (PTP), point-to-multipoint (PTMP), GigaPoP, and PTMP MicroPoP links that are hindered by vegetation.
The C5c delivers 700 Mbps of TCP throughput and is connectorised by design. It pairs with numerous widely used antennas.
4.9-6.4 GHz | 700 Mbps | 50+ Km
Mimosa C5c Application
Long-range point-to-point (PTP) backhaul
Rural point-to-multipoint (PTMP) GigaPoP
Suburban MicroPoP when foliage exists
Connect to almost any dual polarization antenna to provide longer client lines on demand. The C5c may be attached to any pole using hose clamps or is readily clipped onto antenna supporting suitable clip-on mounting bracket systems. It supports 2×2:2 MIMO dual connector RP-SMA for simple cabled antenna connectivity.
Client for Spectrum Reuse Synchronization (SRS)
In SRS mode, the Access Point (A5/A5c) schedules all uplink and downlink broadcasts, considerably increasing medium access protocol (MAC) efficiency, enabling interference cooperation, and lowering jitter. In contrast, WiFi-Interop mode forces clients to compete with one another for channel access, which results in worse MAC efficiency, more interference, and increased jitter.
The power and antenna gain of the access point, the Mimosa C5c, and the distances vary. To simulate performance with your local wireless regulatory limits, please refer to the Mimosa Design Tools.
